The Six Major Beliefs in Islam are those that are commonly held by Muslims, as laid out in the Holy Quran and Hadith.
Belief in the Oneness of God:
Muslims believe in one God who created everything and is all-powerful and all-knowing. God has no partner, no family, no form, and is beyond all human attributes.Belief in the Angels:
Muslims believe in angels—unseen beings who worship God and carry out His commands. The angel Gabriel delivered revelation to the prophets.Belief in the Divine Scriptures:
God revealed holy books to His messengers, including the Qur’an to Muhammad, the Torah to Moses, the Gospel to Jesus, the Psalms to David, and the Scrolls to Abraham. Muslims believe all were originally divine, but only the Qur’an remains preserved exactly as revealed.Belief in the Prophets:
God guided humanity through chosen prophets, beginning with Adam. The Qur’an names twenty-five prophets, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Muhammad is believed to be the final prophet, sent to all of humanity.Belief in the Day of Judgment:
Muslims believe that all people will be resurrected and judged for their deeds. Those who followed God’s guidance will enter Paradise, while those who rejected it will face punishment.Belief in Divine Decree (Qadar):
Everything occurs according to God’s knowledge and decree. While God knows all that will happen, humans still have free will because they do not know their own destiny. Believers meet life’s tests—good or difficult—with gratitude or patience.
